Every time we watched art21 in class, it is fascinating to learn the amazing things artist have to do these days to let the people know their concerns and preocupatoin to the world on certain issues—they have to come up very creative ways to call their attention like William kentridge, the South African artist that we watched from the Art21. On of the techniques he uses to create his animated films is the use of drawings. First he creates a image or a scene that he wants on his animation, then instead of drawing on other piece paper like other artists, he takes a shot of the image with his camera  before he can he makes suble changes to the drawing with the charcoal or erraser. By following this simple steps he is able to finish hsi film animation on the single piece of paper.

Although kentridge uses other form of art to create animation, to me this was the charcoal approach was the more impressive to me.

If I have to do another stop animation for another project, I would look for Will Kentridge to have some inspiration.
